Plumbs was originally established as a market stall business in the 1950s, by Thomas and Bernice Plumb. In the 1960s, their son Geoff developed the business into a mail order company, specialising in stretch furniture covers and home furnishings. He has since overseen the transition to the unique Home Consultancy & Upholstery services now on offer.
As Chairman of the Board, Geoff Plumb still plays an active part in the business and personally guarantees every set of made to measure covers that the company produces. His daughter Sarah Page is now the Managing Director of the company and number of other family members are also actively involved in the business.
