Vale Bridgecraft is a mergence of two well-established companies amassing over 100 years of craftsman skills in joinery and textiles. Vale Upholstery & Bridgecraft Furniture are now the influences behind the current ranges. The Bridgecraft range showing larger suites in traditional designs with the Vale range being slightly smaller and more contemporary.

When we see these suites coming through our workshops it is not very often we need to tighten any joints or make any repairs and they are a joy to re-upholster! Even so, as will most other UK furniture manufacturers, Vale Bridgecraft still put a 25-year guarantee on each of their frames.

The Bridgecraft Furniture story began in 1935 in small workshop by the side of the Leeds Bridge in the UK owned by Maurice (Morry) Lee. Known originally as the ‘Bridge' Upholstery it wasn’t until the late 40s and early 50s from its new home in Mabgate the unique name of Bridgecraft was really established as a sign of quality.

Vale Upholstery was established in the west Riding of Yorkshire in 1947, drawing from the long established craftsman skills in joinery and textiles that the region is famous for as well as a heritage of fine furniture making.

Vale Bridgecraft emerged towards the end of the millennium continuing Morry’s legacy of quality and value for money with models including the timeless Curzon still available today.
