A Family Business

Plumbs is still owned and run by the same family that established the company over 45 years ago.

The commitment of the Plumb family is very much reflected in the friendly service and high levels of personal commitment exhibited by all our staff.

Plumbs was originally established as a market stall (Upholstery and Covers) business in the 1950s, by Thomas and Bernice Plumb. In the 1960s, their son Geoff developed the business into a mail order company, specialising in stretch furniture covers and home furnishings, has since overseen the transition to the unique Home Consultancy & Upholstery services now on offer.

As Chairman of the Board, Geoff Plumb still plays an active part in the business and personally guarantees every set of made to measure covers that the company produces. A number of other family members are also still actively involved in the business.
