The term ‘Quintessential English Style’ conjures up images of country houses, floral chintz furnishings, afternoon teas and cottage gardens abundant with flowers. The essence of this style is captured in the Sanderson brand which for 150 years has produced collections of beautiful prints and wallpapers.
The Sanderson archive houses one of the most important collections of historical fabrics in the UK and is constantly used by the designers as a source of inspiration for new collections.
All Sanderson designs are hand painted in the studio and many prints require up to 21 separate screens to obtain the fullness of colour and tone that epitomises the Sanderson brand.
Perennial favourites such as ‘Chelsea Rose’, ‘Sorilla’ and ‘Roses and Peonies’ have been in the collection for decades and more recent collections such as Parchment Flowers follow this rich tradition.
