1. How much does it cost or at least a rough idea of price?

Given that there is so many different furniture styles it is very difficult to give an accurate price without measuring your furniture. To get an accurate price for Reupholstery simply request your free home visit and one of our exeperienced home consultants. 

2. Do you repair upholstery/furniture?

As a part of our Reupholstery Service we do tighten joints, replace broken springs and webbing as necessary. This completely depends on the furniture and the condition it is in. All Reupholstery orders also get free replacement seat cushions. 

3. Is there a consultant in my area and who are they?

Plumbs currently cover 98% of UK households – so the chances are ‘yes’ we have a consultant in your area. In fact we currently have around 150 Consultants nationwide who are on hand to offer free no-obligation advice.

If we don’t currently have a consultant in your area we can sometimes offer a mail order service. For more information about ‘Plumbs Direct’ please call 0800 019 05 05.

4. Can you reupholster a particular type of furniture?

With our Reupholstery Service Plumbs believe we can transform any suite, sofa or chair on the market. Your local consultant will assess your furniture and will hightlight if they have any specific concerns. They can also advise which fabric styles and designs suit specific furniture typrs. 

5. How long will my order take to complete?

This will vary dependant on time of year but the whole process can take 8-10 weeks in total. However, your furniture will only leave your home for 2-3 weeks unless otherwise specified.

6. How long before I hear from the consultant?

As a company policy our Home Consultants aim to be in contact within 2 - 5 days.

7. Are there other fabrics than those shown on the website?

In total Plumbs has a range of over 800 upholstery weight fabric and colour options. What is shown on the website is only a selection of the total range. Our Consultancy Service offers you the opportunity to see these fabrics in the comfort of your own home. 

8. Can I use my own fabric?

Unfortunately we cannot reupholster furniture using a customers own fabric. All Plumbs upholstery weight fabrics have to go through stringent quality and safety checks and regulations which restricts us from taking fabric from our customers. 

9. Do you reupholster leather furniture?

Yes. Our reupholstery service can replace your leather with one of Plumbs upholstery weight fabrics. We dont currently offer a nationwide service for reupholstery using leather material. This is only offered in selected locations throughout the UK. Please call 0800 542 54 54 to see if we offer Prestige Leather Reupholstery in your area.

10. Can I order online?

You can request your visit online for a free home visit - but we have to see your furniture in person to give you an accurate quote. We also have to collect your furniture for the Reupholstery Service.
